As we transition to Swiftlane, here’s a quick overview of how onboarding will work and what residents can expect once the new system goes live.
Once your unit is added to Swiftlane, you’ll receive an email invitation to create your Swiftlane account. This email will include a secure link to download the Swiftlane mobile app and register. During setup, you’ll confirm your name, unit number, and preferred contact information.
Swiftlane supports several ways to enter the building. During onboarding, you can choose any combination of the following:
Mobile App Unlock (tap to unlock or Bluetooth proximity unlock)
Hands-Free Entry at the lobby and package room
Apple Watch Unlock
PIN Code Entry using the new touchpad readers
Key Fob or Key Card (optional alternative for those who prefer physical access)
Face Recognition Entry (completely optional)
You can change your preferred methods anytime through the app.
If you choose to use Face ID unlock, you’ll be guided through a quick face-scan enrollment in the app. This takes less than a minute.
Swiftlane uses encrypted storage, anti-spoofing depth detection, and does not sell or share biometric data. You can delete your scan at any time with one tap.
You’ll be able to create:
Your personal PIN code
Single-use PINs for deliveries or one-time visitors
Multi-use temporary PINs for guests or short-term access
PINs can be managed entirely through the app, and the system will guide you if a PIN doesn’t meet the security requirements.
Visitors will use the upgraded Swiftlane intercom to call your unit. You’ll receive a video call through the app, so you can see who is at the door and buzz them in remotely.
If you prefer not to use video, you can answer via audio only.
Once onboarding is complete, you’ll be able to:
Unlock doors with your phone or Watch
Walk hands-free through lobby/package room doors
Enter PINs on the new touchpad readers
Use Face ID (if enabled)
Manage guests and deliveries from your phone
Receive real-time access notifications
All access permissions are managed securely through Swiftlane’s cloud-based system, ensuring both convenience and strong security for the building.
